Panther Creek High School- Texas

icf award logo*2023 ICF Builder Awards Education Winner*

In Frisco, Texas, Panther Creek High School sets a new benchmark for ICF construction in the education sector. This state-of-the-art facility was built using Nudura Insulated Concrete Forms (ICFs) to address the priorities of durability and energy efficiency. This cost-effective, sustainable construction method has made this school a model for other districts to follow!

The two sides of continuous insulation on the inside and outside of the structure provide more consistent interior temperatures to lower the HVAC load and ultimately decrease the school’s utility costs. These cost savings can then be reinvested back into the students.

The strength of ICF walls also offers resilience against extreme weather conditions so the building can serve as a safe haven for the community. On top of this, the sound-dampening properties of ICF wall assemblies further enhance the learning environment, by minimizing noise distractions and fostering a more productive atmosphere.

In the end, ICF construction offered an all-in-one solution for the Frisco Independent School District, providing a durable, energy-efficient building envelope with the modern aesthetic the district was seeking.
